Who is welcome at our table?

Are we allowed to eat and dine with a Christian who is living a sinful lifestyle?

  1. The Pharisees leveled this criticism at Christ several times: associating with sinners, eating with tax collectors, etc. (Matthew 9:10). Christ took his message to and shared it with those who needed it most, including the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:1). Just because we associate with those living in sin does not mean we are condoning their sin. We should follow Christ's example and reach out in love to all who need to hear the Gospel message.

  2. We are all living in sin. End of story. Next time you go to church remind yourself that the person you're sitting next to is a sinner. Oh-and so are you. :)
